SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK:
"Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel." -Alma 26:16

Dear Family and Friends,
This scripture in the Book of Mormon describes me perfectly. That's why it's my favorite one! My heart is so full today. Life just can't get much better than I have it now!
My little brother, Dallin William Hardcastle, is back from serving an honorable full-time mission in Spain! Since he has been home, I have had such incredible peace. What a privilege and honor it was to serve in Spain with him! It has been so hard to be home without him since May, but now the Hardcastle missionaries are back together again! I finally feel like my mission is complete. We finished how we started......TOGETHER!!! And the blessings just keep coming...
On June 20, 2010, I received a phone call from one Matthew Scott Naegle. Just hearing him on the other end of the phone took my breath away, and it's been history ever since. In the few short months we have dated, I feel like I have known Matt for a lifetime. I can't even imagine life without him! We are the most miraculous fit! Everything about us seems so familiar. I have never been happier! With every day that goes by, it just keeps getting better and better. I remember lying in bed one night, only after about two or three weeks of dating Matt, with tears running down my face. I was silently weeping with joy. I wondered how I ever deserved someone so wonderful and a match so perfect. I felt so much love from my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. I will thank Them everyday for bringing Matt into my life.
Four months from that phone call in June, Matt got on one knee! Plus, Dallin was there to see it! Thanks to Matt really wanting him to be a part of it and Dallin's sneaky skills and black attire, Dallin hid behind a bush and filmed the whole thing! The engagement was perfect! I couldn't imagine it better if I tried.
MATT IS MY MIRACLE OF THE WEEK AND MY MIRACLE OF A LIFETIME!!! I don't think I'll ever begin to describe the feeling and blessing that it is to be able to find and marry my best friend!

Be Consistent. Please, No Empty Chairs.

Hermana Hardcastle
P.S. I hope you like the new blog idea. I've been thinking about it for so long, and it finally feels right to start it now. It's exciting to embark on a new chapter of my weekly Wednesday emails! LEGACY WEDNESDAYS NOW BEGINS..................
Jaclyn, you are 100% right in saying you're the perfect fit! As sisters, we really only had ONE requirement (ha! can we have those?) for Matt's future bride--and that is that she understands how amazing he is, and loves him like crazy! Well, it seems that you've pretty much exceeded everyone's expectations--most importantly Matt's. :) Thanks for sharing, sistah! (I can call you that now, right?)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a good idea!! Thanks for doing this. I love your stories and you.

I love the new blog! I also love how much you love our brother! I love you! Apparently, I am just full of love today! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. I look forward to Thursday mornings and reading about you and the gospel! Oh yes, and I agree with Amanda in calling you sistah :) Love you!
ReplyDeleteJac, there is so much wonderfulness inside our dear sweet brother! And I have a feeling that you will be the instrument that brings a lot of Matt's amazing gifts out and magnifies them. He has been searching for you with all his heart since the day he returned from his mission. Thank YOU for being the answer to his prayers. We love you!!
